Lift passes · 2026–27 prices checked 11 Oct 2026 on official pages

Hakuba is ten ski resorts down one valley, not one mountain. The Hakuba Valley All-Mountain Day Pass covers all ten and the valley shuttle bus on the days you ride. Single-resort tickets are cheaper per day, but only by a little, and they lock you to one hill. Every price below is the 2026–27 figure from the resort’s or the Valley’s own page, in yen including tax, with the source linked. If you have not picked a hill yet, start with which mountain.

Best when

  • You want to move between Happo, Goryu, 47, Iwatake and Tsugaike as the weather changes.
  • You will use the valley shuttle. It is free on ski days with the Valley pass.
  • You want rest days. A 6-day Valley pass is valid over 11 days.

Skip when

  • Your group has teens aged 13–17 and is staying on Happo. Happo charges them the child rate.
  • You hold a 2026 Epic Australia Pass. Your first five days are free.
  • You only want night skiing. The Valley pass does not cover it.

Hakuba Valley pass prices, 2026–27

Valid at Happo-one, Goryu, Hakuba 47, Iwatake, Tsugaike, Norikura, Cortina, Sanosaka, Kashimayari and Jiigatake, and at more than one resort on the same day. Adult is 13 and over, child is 6 to 12, under-sixes ride free (under three at Jiigatake and Kashimayari). Multi-day passes do not have to be used on consecutive days, which is what makes rest days work.

What six days actually costs

One adult, six days in peak season, from the official prices above.

PlanTotalPer day
Valley pass, 6 days¥63,900¥10,650
Happo only, three 2-day tickets¥58,800¥9,800
Happo only, two 3-day top-ups on an old Happo card¥56,400¥9,400

Kids, teens and seniors

  • Valley pass: child is 6–12. A 13-year-old pays the adult price.
  • Happo-one: child is 6–17, including high-school students graduating in 2027. Junior-high and high-school students need student ID. Under-sixes are free; collect their ticket at the counter.
  • Goryu and 47: youth is 13–22 by age, not school year, window only with photo ID. Under-sixes and 80-plus pay ¥500 at the window, which is the card deposit.
  • Tsugaike: child means primary school. Senior starts at 60 and needs proof of age on the day.
  • Kashimayari and Jiigatake: free only under three on the Valley pass, not under six.

Kids clubs and lessons are on Hakuba with kids and English ski schools. Lessons never include the lift ticket. Not sure between private and group lessons? See who teaches English ski lessons in Hakuba.

Night skiing is a separate ticket

Goryu is the night hill. Its 2026–27 night ticket is ¥6,500 adult at the Escal Plaza ticket centre, on sale from 17:30, and you can also buy it online. Night tickets cannot be recharged, so buy a new one each time. Tsugaike has cancelled night skiing for 2026–27, and Happo’s 2026–27 ticket page lists no night ticket. Neither the Valley pass nor the Epic ticket covers nights.

Epic Australia Pass in Hakuba

If you bought a 2026 Epic Australia Pass for Perisher, Falls Creek or Hotham, you get one free Hakuba Valley ticket for 2026–27: five consecutive days at all ten resorts, no blackout dates. The Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass qualify too; the Epic Day Pass does not. Show your pass at a designated ticket window. It is yours only, it cannot be shared with family, and the first day starts the first time you use it, including a shuttle ride. Epic discounts on lessons, food and lodging do not apply in Hakuba. How to buy and pick up

  1. 01 · Buy online

The Hakuba Valley webshop sells the Valley pass plus Goryu and 47, Iwatake, and Cortina and Norikura tickets. You need an account, and it takes Visa and Mastercard only. Happo’s own webshop takes Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Amex and Diners. Online tickets cannot be cancelled or refunded, so check the forecast before you buy.

  2. 02 · Pick up with the QR code

You get a QR code and a pickup code by email. Scan it at a SKIOSK machine or show it at a ticket window to get your IC card. Allow about 30 minutes after buying before the gates know about it. At Happo the windows open 15 minutes before the lifts and take cash or card.

  3. 03 · Keep the card

Your card has a 23-digit number starting 01. Next time, reload it online and walk straight to the gate. Keep it flat, and keep it alone in your left pocket: the Happo gate sensors sit on the left and can misread a phone in the same pocket.

  4. 04 · Deposits

No deposit on the Valley pass. ¥500 at Goryu, 47 and Kashimayari, ¥1,000 at Iwatake, refunded when you hand the card back. Jiigatake swaps your Valley pass for a local ticket at the window.

Before you pay

Prices checked on 11 Oct 2026 against the official pages linked above. They are the 2026–27 season rates, but resorts can change them, so take the source link over this table on the day. The shuttle is the other half of the pass decision: see Hakuba without a car, then where to stay.

Questions people actually ask

How much is a Hakuba lift pass for 2026–27?
The Hakuba Valley All-Mountain Day Pass is ¥11,100 for one adult day (13 and over) and ¥6,400 for a child (6–12). Six days is ¥63,900 adult. A peak-season Happo-one day is ¥9,800 adult. Prices checked on the official pages on 11 Oct 2026.
Is the Hakuba Valley pass worth it over a Happo-one ticket?
For most adults, yes. Six peak days on Happo alone cost ¥58,800; six Valley days cost ¥63,900. That is about ¥850 a day for nine more mountains and the free valley shuttle on ski days. The exception is teenagers: Happo charges 13–17s the child rate, the Valley pass charges them as adults.
Does the Hakuba Valley pass include night skiing?
No. The official page says it is not valid for night skiing or the night shuttle bus. Goryu sells a separate night ticket (adult ¥6,500 at the window for 2026–27).
Can I use my Epic Australia Pass in Hakuba?
Yes. Holders of the 2026 Epic Australia Pass (and the Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass) get one free 5-consecutive-day Hakuba Valley ticket for 2026–27, with no blackout dates. Collect it at a designated ticket window. It is non-transferable, and riding the shuttle counts as day one.
Is there a deposit on Hakuba lift tickets?
Not on the Hakuba Valley Day Pass. Goryu, Hakuba 47 and Kashimayari tickets carry a ¥500 IC card deposit, and Iwatake charges ¥1,000. You get it back when you return the card.
